(L to R) Brodie Anderson, Simon Johnson and Rod Hayes from Food & Fibre Gippsland

Food & Fibre Gippsland (F&FG) is pleased to share important news about our team structure, designed to strengthen the sector’s resilience and foster ongoing innovation in drought management across Gippsland. This change reflects our commitment to ensuring a sustainable and prosperous future for our food and fibre industry.

Why the Change?

Our sector faces both resourcing challenges and innovation opportunities in a rapidly evolving environment. To meet these head-on, we’ve formed a dedicated Drought team who will focus on resilience and innovation - two pillars essential for growth, strong connections and long-term success.

Our New Team Structure

We’re proud to announce new roles within F&FG to lead this important work:

Rod Hayes – Senior Manager, Resilience and Innovation

Rod joins our leadership team and will oversee resilience programs, including direct responsibility for the Gippsland Regional Drought Resilience Plan (RDRP). His expertise and extensive networks will guide strategic initiatives that strengthen our sector’s ability to adapt and thrive.

Brodie Anderson – Project Manager, Resilience and Innovation

Brodie will spearhead our involvement in the South East Node, leading F&FG’s role with the Vic Hub of the Future Drought Fund. His work will ensure Gippsland remains at the forefront of drought preparedness and innovation.

Rod and Brodie are also playing key roles in other projects, as part of our cross-functional structure, to connect and grow the food and fibre sector across Gippsland.
