Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub - Gippsland update
Food & Fibre Gippsland is the node provider for the Victorian Drought Hub program.
The Victorian Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub is one of eight national hubs funded by the Australian Government to enhance drought preparedness and resilience through economic, environmental, and community initiatives. The Hub's focus was expanded beyond drought resilience to include broader agricultural innovation. We, in Gippsland, develop a range of projects which focus on demonstrating existing and new approaches to building drought resilience across the agricultural and horticultural supply chains.
This update provides details of one such project.

The first part of the day will be held in Sale at The Stables conference centre followed by lunch and farm tour of Wilandra Farms which is 21km out of Sale in Clydebank.
Food and Fibre Gippsland members Wilco Droppert & Sandra Jefford own and run a dairy farm and will be hosting the on-farm half of the day.
Students celebrate graduation success
Nineteen individuals from around the globe who now work at Flavorite on the outskirts of Warragul participated in a ‘Let’s Learn English Course’, facilitated by Warragul community House.
Over eight weeks the group expanded on their varying existing knowledge. Teachers and community house volunteers making the learning fun and interesting for the students which saw them grow in their confidence, speaking and writing in English.
Members connect over Gippsland food and wine
A group of Food and Fibre Gippsland’s valued members and partners gathered in Stratford to connect over Gippsland-made goodness last night.
The outdoor patio was the perfect venue on the mild evening for growers, makers and creators to connect. The local produce was certainly the hero of the night partnered with Gippsland made beer and wine.
