Connecting with Singapore
A group of Gippsland businesses keen to explore export markets for their products seized a great opportunity to meet direct with a buyer from Singapore, visiting the region this week.
The Commercial Director of premium fresh food retailer Little Farms, Tom Gray spent time discussing dairy products, artisan chocolates, bio colostrum, fresh vegetables, meat and ice-cream - all from local growers, makers and processors F&FG helped bring together for the insights and networking activity held at the Morwell Innovation Centre.
Seaweed Survey Progress
Earlier this year, Deakin University’s Blue Carbon Lab team commenced work on a seaweed survey to help inform the viability assessment and potential development of a commercial seaweed farming industry in Gippsland. To date, multiple seaweed surveys have been conducted, sampling sites across Western Port Bay, Corner Inlet and the Gippsland Lakes.
