This work aims to explore the role of carbon within the Gippsland food and fibre production landscape, and how we can leverage our existing assets and practices, or optimise them, to bring about increases in profitability, sustainability and overall regional advantage. Assessor Skills Set Program postponed til early 2022
Due to the changing conditions of Victoria’s COVID landscape and restrictions, the Assessor Skills Set Program has been postponed until February 2022. We encourage businesses in the horticulture and food processing industries to look at their workforce between now and then to identify potential participants for the program.

Land, Water and Biodiversity
The West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority is pleased to announce the release of the Draft West Gippsland Regional Catchment Strategy for public consultation. The RCS is an overarching strategy that responds to the challenges such as population growth, climate change and declining biodiversity.

Besides its more sinister role as a component in the aforementioned greenhouse gases, carbon plays an extremely important role as the building block of organic life - particularly within plants and soils.
