The horticulture industry in Gippsland produces 25%* of Victoria’s vegetables and having a stable workforce plays a big role in its ongoing success.

Food & Fibre Gippsland (FFG), together with VegNET Gippsland, the Victorian Farmers Federation, TAFE Gippsland and Agriculture Victoria, will hold a Horticulture Workforce Forum in Sale on Tuesday 22nd June to update growers on initiatives in place to support them in growing, retaining and looking after their employees.

Destination Gippsland is offering a program that may be of benefit to a number of food and fibre businesses also connected to the tourism industry.

It’s called Navigating the Digital Maze - a digital training program, facilitated by the Tourism Tribe.

The Awards are a Gippsland region-based Awards program to recognise, celebrate & reward excellence in collaboration and innovation.

The competition adopts a two-tiered approach with three premier awards; Gippsland Agribusiness of the Year, Young Agribusiness Leader, Female Agribusiness Leader

These three premier awards are then followed by a range of category awards across the entire food & fibre supply chain.
