Entries are open for the 2021 Gippsland Food and Fibre Awards !
The Awards are a Gippsland region-based Awards program to recognise, celebrate & reward excellence in collaboration and innovation.
The competition adopts a two-tiered approach with three premier awards; Gippsland Agribusiness of the Year, Young Agribusiness Leader, Female Agribusiness Leader
These three premier awards are then followed by a range of category awards across the entire food & fibre supply chain.

Insects are gaining momentum and recognition as an alternative source of protein for both animals and humans, providing a nutritious and sustainable solution for feeding a growing global population.

Gippsland farmers are encouraged to join an online information session this Thursday 6 May where the methods, opportunities and challenges of running a commercial insect will be discussed.
Challenge Bootcamp
A group of Gippsland food and fibre businesses will gather tomorrow at the Morwell Innovation Centre for the Challenge Bootcamp.
Under the guidance of Emma Coath from Rocketseeder, the Challenge cohort will be fleshing out their ideas and working on how to best prepare their application, and ultimately ace their pitch to the Challenge panel in mid May.
