Managing Rural Landscapes

Have you recently made a tree change to acreage or a small farm in Gippsland?

A specialist in rural landscape management and ecology, Dr Ian Smith has recently started free online drop-in sessions for rural property owners who are looking for advice in managing their property.

These drop in sessions are an opportunity for Gippsland land owners struggling with specific land issues such as:

  • weeds

  • soil quality

  • revegetation or erosion

  • shelterbelt development

  • rabbit control

  • property planning

These sessions currently run on Mondays at 6:30pm for an hour, but participants are welcome to drop in and out whenever they like as there is no set structure.

The sessions are run on the online platform 'Discord' and people can join the conversation by using the following link: https://discord.gg/Fj7yMDs2ks

Ian is happy to chat anytime and answer any questions on 0404 976 649 or email him at ian.smith.nrm@gmail.com
