This Friday night is the Excellence in Agribusiness Awards Gala Dinner where we will recognise, reward and celebrate collaboration and innovation in the achievements of a diverse range of food and fibre businesses across the region.

There are nine categories, which culminates in the presentation of the 2019 Gippsland Agribusiness of the Year, the winner of which will be awarded a scholarship to attend KPMG's Agri-Food Tech Traction Tour.

This is a 7 day international immersion tour that offers the opportunity to access unique insights into emerging agribusiness technology from leading agri-food locatios around the world.

It's an awesome opportunity that is worth $15,000, and we thank KPMG for being a prize partner in the inagural year of this prestigious award.

Our Commonwealth Bank Young Gippsland Agribusiness Leader of the Year will also a receive a scholarship, thanks to our Prize Partner, The Australian Rural Leadership Foundation ( ARLF).

The winner, who will be aged 35 years or younger, will be given the opportunity to complete a Training Rural Australians in Leadership Course - commonly known as the TRAIL course.

Valued at $10,000, we very much appreciate the collaboration we've been able to create with the ARLF to provide this course as as prize in the first year of our Excellence Awards program - and look forward to many years of working together to benefit rural and regional leaders in Gippsland.
