Our garlic is a result of a WOOFING holiday - (Willing Workers on Organic Farms), to King Island, Tasmania, where the hosts grew several varieties of garlic.

The concept for the Bullant Brewery Bruthen is simple: to pair the best onsite brewed beer with the best regionally sourced food. The key word here is “balance” - A destination rather than just another boutique brewery.
Bullant beers are designed to match their menu just like wine, but they are equally enjoyable as a solely refreshing beverage. The brewery complex is welcoming and generous, purpose built to offer the best facilities. Its skillion rooves and corrugated iron walls complement the local hardwood timbers used in the deck and bar areas.

A family-run operation, Bulmer’s originally ran a dairy farm before switching to growing vegetables in 1989. Today they supply OneHarvest with cos lettuce, iceberg lettuce, broccoli and all of their babyleaf lines. A foundation supplier to Vegco, Bulmer’s farm nine different properties over around 400 hectares in the Valley and they put their success down to “hard work, perseverance and a passion for quality”.

Culinaire Cooking School first opened it’s doors in 2003 with Chef Christiane Philip at the helm together with her husband John. After many years of honing her skill both in Europe and Australia, Christiane recognised a need for a cooking school with a hands on approach that taught students the fundamentals of cookery, rather than attending demonstration classes. A herb and kitchen garden was then planted out to supply the school with fresh produce for the classes and workshops and offers a personal approach with only 8 students per class or workshop ensures maximum learning. The cooking school has grown to the well known inspirational and exiting experience it is today... a first class establishment now also housing a gift shop and conducting gourmet food tours.

We grow gourmet mushrooms and produce escargot caviar from our snail farm.
Gourmet mushrooms, such as oyster mushrooms, are grown completely on site at Gippsland Pearls. From spawn development to the final fruiting and harvesting stages, we take care of it all in Lakes Entrance. We sell our mushrooms at Farmers Markets aroudn Gippsland, and they are available on a number of menus in some of East Gippsland's leading restaurants and cafes.

Escargot caviar are the delicate pearly white eggs of snails and are regarded as a fine delicacy overseas. Second only to Beluga Caviar in cost, this unique delicacy is currently unavailable in Australia. Our snails are housed in custom controlled indoor environments where they are protected from extreme weather and predators while having their dietary needs, temperature and humidity needs all strictly met.

Lakes Entrance Fishermans Co-op

The Lakes Entrance Fishermen’s Co-Operative is the lifeblood of the industry in Lakes Entrance and was opened in 1968. Since then it has grown to become recognised as a strong leader within the commercial fishing industry across Australia. Over the years the Co-Operative has diversified and formed various other businesses from its gear store which provide the local fleet with fuel, ice and essential fishing gear and equipment to its direct retail seafood outlet on Bullock Island in Lakes Entrance. The Co-Operative has almost 70 members and services over 40 boats on a daily and weekly basis. 14 full time staff operate the facility with numerous local casual staff also employed throughout the year.

Over 80 varieties of fish are regularly landed at Lakes Entrance with the most common being tiger flathead, gummy shark and whiting. Seasonal varieties include Eastern king and school prawns in summer months while Bass Strait scallops are landed throughout winter and spring.

Leadoux Turkeys grow and process genuine free-range turkey from Bairnsdale in East Gippsland. We supply quality free-range turkey direct from the farm, via an extensive range of butchers, and at some of Melbourne’s best accredited Farmers’ Markets. We are a family run business, that started as a hobby in 1982 when John Leadoux started with 100 Turkeys. The business has continued to grow steadily, but is only small when compared to other Commercial enterprises, and that’s the way we like it. We sadly lost John on 8 April, 2013, but Judy and the family continue to run the farm. Leadoux Turkeys are grown free-range on the farm and processed on site in our Primesafe licensed processing plant. We are HACCP approved, and have a QA system in place.

The Lightfoot family first planted a small vineyard in 1995 in the pristine Gippsland Lakes region and made small batches of wine each vintage for the enjoyment of family, friends and a handful of local wine enthusiasts. Since then their family business has grown, and the second generation of family, sons Rob and Tom Lightfoot, now manage the business.

Our wines are now being made by Alastair Butt and Tom Lightfoot.

Alastair brings more than 25 years of winemaking experience to the winery, working previously in the Yarra Valley and Hunter Valley. After completing a Viticultural Science and Wine Production degree, Tom has worked a number of vintages in wineries throughout Australia and the Northern Hemisphere. Tom now manages the Myrtle Point Vineyard and assists Alastair in winemaking.

Nullamunjie is a true single estate olive oil, grown, pressed and bottled on the estate. The olives are processed within 2-4 hours of being harvested fresh from the trees. Nullamunjie Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a robustly fruity oil with excellent complexity of flavours and length of pepper, and a beautiful herbaceous aroma. As with all olive oils classified as extra virgin, acidity levels are less than 0.8%.
In the case of Nullamunjie extra virgin olive oil considerably less, never having exceeded 0.2%.

Sailor's Grave

A treacherous cove at Cape Conran is the inspiration for the name and the spirit of Sailor’s Grave, brews inspired by the ocean and rural living. A sea change and love for beer prompted Chris & Gab Moore to assemble East Gippsland’s newest brewery in the abandend 1893 Orbost Butter and Produce factory – not far from where Gabs grew up. The pair live with their two children on a family farm at Point Ricardo on the coast, and source buckets of inspiration from their surroundings. Their beers are shaped by the ever-present coastal elements that dominate life here and rooted in the farms and plains where the Snowy River meets the sea. Sailor’s Grave will make the most of the bountiful land around where they live and work, by incorporating indignous botanicals picked in the bush, salt, weed and sea life harvested from from river and ocean, fruits, grains & produce from local farms & orchards and wild yeasts from thair backyard. Chris and Gab plan to keep the beers approachable even when they get adventurous. The pair have big plans for an array of limited edition seasonally inspiresd beers. Beers from the deep sou'east

Shaw's Quality Meats is a second generation family owned and run small business. David and Michelle Shaw purchased the business from Dave's parents in 2005 and continue the focus on locally grown and sourced premium produce.
Beef is grass fed and sourced from their own farm in Boisdale, Victoria and from Ray Smith's farm 'Glencliff' only 65 klms away in Bairnsdale. Pigs are from Trevor and Di Flint's farm 'Kullingral' only 50 klms away in Seaspray. From their top quality pigs we offer fresh pork and produce our award winning smallgoods. Chickens from Lionica are certified Free Range and chemical free. With a focus on maintaining the 100 mile principle, our lamb is sourced from various local suppliers for a delicious, premium product. Each week seafood and fish are sourced fresh out of Lakes Entrance. When available, there is also a great seasonal range of foods, including veal from various suppliers and goat from Toni Scicluna's farm 26 klms away in Munro.

Their property ‘Narrambla' is located along the fertile and legendary Snowy River in Far East Gippsland, where they live a subsistence lifestyle. Having discovered Black Garlic whilst travelling, the couple decided to turn the garlic they were growing into black garlic for their own use and to share amongst friends. Demand for their Authentic Black Garlic quickly increased and has now become the major focus for the couple.

Our holdings are very unique and all have a special environment which we farm to its best. At Snowy River Station we work with nature and the land using what it has to offer at each location. We run cattle and diverse into any other produce or resource that works for that particular farm. Every farm is different, we don't work against nature - we work with it. This is a very efficient way to farm and it allows us to explore forgotten or unknown crops. We use no chemicals in our production and we always strive for the best produce.

Great wines have a basis of fruit weight, concentration, length and sense of place – characters which can be formed only in the vineyard. Our primary task at Tambo Wine is to grow grapes which express the site and take the essence of that fruit and then preserve it as wine. The character of the fruit from Tambo vineyard reflects the relatively soft temperate maritime climate.
The winemaking starts in the vineyard monitoring the fruit, assessing the balance of fruit and tannin ripeness, acid structure and flavour development.
